Creating the Small Town America 3D Pack was both a challenge and a rewarding experience. This rural 3D asset pack was crafted with game developers and filmmakers in mind, offering a highly detailed, modular collection of buildings and props that reflect the charm and authenticity of classic American towns.
Tackling Scale and Consistency
One of the biggest challenges in leading this project was managing the large number of buildings while maintaining consistency across scale, UV mapping, texel density, and polycount. With such a wide scope—from residential homes to diners, theaters, and parking lots—we had to rethink and improve our UV workflow to handle the volume efficiently. Developing a robust system for UV unwrapping and texel density control ensured that all models remained cohesive and production-ready, regardless of complexity.

Built for Storytelling
What makes this rural 3D town asset pack truly stand out is its thematic variety. Whether you're designing a nostalgic game level or setting up a cinematic sequence, this pack gives you access to a comprehensive range of environments. You’ll find dining motels with neon signage, cozy residential houses, commercial storefronts, a full-scale parking lot, and more. This flexibility allows creators to build anything from quiet midwestern neighborhoods to eerie deserted towns—perfect for both video games and film scenes.
Architecture with Intent
To maintain a unified architectural style across all assets, we began with in-house concept art and relied heavily on a curated library of photorealistic references. Real-world visual cues are critical when developing premium 3D assets for the film and game industries. Our goal was to hit that fine balance between stylization and realism—where the assets feel grounded, yet flexible for different artistic directions.
Game-Ready and Fully Optimized
This isn’t just a pretty pack—it’s built for performance. The Small Town America 3D Pack contains fewer than 6.5 million faces across the entire collection, ensuring a low polycount without sacrificing detail. All assets are fully optimized for game engines, and we include an Unreal Engine-ready scene for developers to jump right in. Whether you're creating an open-world RPG or a cinematic short, you can count on smooth integration and efficient rendering.
A Personal Takeaway from Howie Muzika (Lead modeler)
"Leading this project has been a milestone in my artistic journey. I learned new techniques, refined my eye for detail, and had a lot of fun along the way. Seeing the final product come together—and knowing it’ll help others bring their rural environments to life—is what excites me the most."
If you’re building a nostalgic midwestern street, a small-town horror scene, or just need a versatile rural 3D environment, this pack gives you the tools to tell your story right.
